This new report, prepared by Research Shop intern Wanzirai Muruvi, looks at Guaranteed Annual Income, a concept that has dominated social security reform dialogue in Canada since the 1960s. The report reviews two models of GAI, the negative income tax model and the universal demogrant model, and considers the benefits and downfalls of each.
