Taste Real, Guelph and Wellington County’s award-winning regional food tourism organization, is donating $18,000 to local food access and security organizations.
The money being donated was raised from the 3rd annual Taste Real Field Dinner, which was held in September at the McCarron Farm in Puslinch.
There are 3 organizations receiving $6000 each. The recipients are the Garden Fresh Box program, the Guelph Food Bank, and the Food Access Working Group which oversees and supports over 20 emergency food services in Guelph and Wellington.
The money will go towards increasing the amount of local, seasonal food available to local clients and supporting on-going programs and services that benefit residents of Guelph and Wellington.
THANK YOU Taste Real for your commitment to local food programs and services!
