Highlights from the work of the Poverty Task Force

The Poverty Task Force released its 2011 Report to the Community at the Policies on Poverty Community Forum, May 24, 2011. 

In 2010, member groups of the Poverty Task Force undertook a number of initiatives to reduce poverty, including developing community gardens, collecting athletic shoes so that kids can participate in sports, and hosting poverty briefings for municipal election candidates in the city and county.  The Report to the Community tells more about these initiatives, and outlines the Poverty Task Force’s plans going forward.
