In June 2011 the Commission for the Review of Social Assistance in Ontario released A Discussion Paper: Issues & Ideas and reached out to stakeholders and communities for input.

In response, the Guelph & Wellington Task Force for Poverty Elimination, along with other community partners, organized opportunities for community members to provide feedback. Community members were invited to provide input by participating in an online survey and/or by attending a community conversation.

On September 1st the Poverty Task Force submitted a report to the Commission based on the information collected in Guelph & Wellington on each of the issues identified in A Discussion Paper.
