The cold weather is here! In an effort to make sure everyone has somewhere warm to go, there are a number of great service providers opening their doors and offering resources this winter season.

The City of Guelph and Wellington County are in the process of finalizing a cold weather alert process in periods of extreme weather. Once finalized, information will be shared with the media, the public, emergency first responders, and social service agencies. The Poverty Task Force will provide updates as information becomes available.

The following resources are currently available throughout the winter:

Youth can access services throughout their sites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
When the shelter closes in the mornings, youth can go to the Resource Centre. On weekends staff ensure youth have a warm place to go. Long term programs are always open before the shelter is closed.
