The Conference Board of Canada’s recent report on income inequality in Canada notes that the gap between the richest and poorest has increased steadily over the past 20 years. In addition to examining the impact of income inequality and how it occurs, this report also reviews low income measures, at risk groups for low income and whether government taxes and transfers help reduce income inequality.

The synopsis, which reviews the key findings of the report, can be found here: Synopsis: Canada Inequality.

The full report is available on the Conference Board of Canada website.
