The Wellington-Guelph Housing Committee has joined forces with provincial organizations, such as the Housing Network of Ontario, to call on the Ontario government to implement an Ontario Housing Benefit (OHB). Several local organizations, including the Poverty Task Force, have endorsed the OHB which seeks to assist low income families and individuals close the gap between their household income and the amount paid in rent.
